Family First.

Oftentimes, after a man or woman does their time, families are hesitant to allow them back into their home for many reasons; financial hardships, emotional stress, health concerns, trust issues, and fear. During their sentence and upon reentry, T.R.Y. interacts with the client's children and spouse, or other family members, to help the family prepare for a positive reunion.

To assist these families, T.R.Y. partners with Angel Tree, a national organization Prison Fellowship, and provides:

  • A Christmas celebration and gifts for children and their caregivers
  • Summer programs for kids to give caregiver support
  • Neighbor Day events in high-risk neighborhoods
  • An annual National Night Out Against Crime block party providing children with backpacks and school supplies
  • Thanksgiving food baskets
  • Neighbors-in-Need with furniture through partnership with C.O.R.E.
  • Referrals to community services and sharing the Gospel to uplift their spirits
